Uttaranchal Mahasangh writes to Rly Brd for more train services between Uttarakhand-Mumbai
The Uttaranchal Mahasangh, one of the biggest organizations of Uttarakhandi people in Mumbai and its environs, will approach the Railway Board with a request for more train services between Uttarakhand and Mumbai. The Mahasangh will write a letter to the Railway Board chief and concerned ministers, and if necessary, will send a delegation to Delhi to personally meet with Railway Board officials on the issue. Apart from more train services, the Mahasangh will also request the Railway Board to make the Dadar-Bareili weekly train a daily service and extend it to Ramnagar, Haldwani and Kathgodam. It also wants the Lokmanya Terminal-Hardwar train to be extended to Dehradun on a daily basis. There is only one daily express train service to Dehradun-Haridwar from Mumbai and the services needs to be increased as the n umber of people traveling between Uttrakhand and Mumbai has been increasing.
