Several Prominent Uttarakhandi Personalities including Sushant Singh, Urvashi Rautela, Twishaa Bhatt, Madhurima Tuli, Mohan Kala, Madhavnand Bhatt, Ratan Singh Barthwal, Bhola Maharaj Ji, Suresh Kala, Nandakishore Nautiyal, Krishna Singh felicitated     Urvashi Rautela, Madhurima Tuli, Twishaa Bhatt, Kamala Badoni Mumbai, Jan 27 : The five-day-long cultural festival of Uttarakhand `Kauthig 2014’   which was celebrated with gusto in Navi Mumbai, concluded on Sunday January 26  with   over 15-thousand Uttarakhandis   participating in  the final day events.  The festival   held   with the aim of  bring ing together the `Pahari’  people  living in Mumbai, Thane  , Navi Mumbai and its environs , was held at Nerul’s Ramleela Maidan from January   22   to January 26.     The mega event was   very well attended (Around 70,000), especially by the Uttarakhandi youth. Mumbai, Jan 24, 2014: At the Ramleela Grounds in Nerul, a replica of the famous Kedarnath   Temple has been constructed for the five-day long festival -  Kauthig 2014  - that will be on till Sunday Jan 26, 2014. The festival showcases music and dance performances, stalls selling handicrafts from   Uttarakhand  and traditional folklore. Till Sunday, from 6pm to 10pm, the Uttarakhandi people from Mumbai-Thane-Navi Mumbai region converge to celebrate the spirit of Devbhoomi and showcase the same to the rest of the city. Renowned artists such as Hemant Butola and Prakash Rawat, who are an important part of Uttarakhand's cultural scene, perform together with Challiya, a group of renowned performers from Pithoragarh on Jan 24-26, 2014. HIMALAYA XI ARE THE NEW CHAMPIONS OF UTTARAKHAND PREMIER LEAGUE (UPL) 2013-14

BHARAT LOHAR STEERS HIMALAYA XI TO BRILLIANT WIN OVER  UTTARAHCHAL SAMAJ CHARKOP GORAI Himalay XI which were knocked out of UPL 1 in the their debut game, have won the coveted UPL season -II trophy by defeating the defending champions Uttaranchal Samaj Charkop Goarai, Mumbai, by 8 wickets.  Chief Guest Shri Harishchandra Shripat Patil, Mayor, Thane Municipal Corporation and Shri Munna Bist, Corporator, Thane, presented the  trophies  and cash prize to the winners and best performers.
