She was able to avail of the Rajiv Gandhi Health Insurance to have the surgery done. But now needs around Rs 1.5 lakhs more. We request you to contact us (9930372436) if you wish to contribute towards the treatment of this helpless lady.

You can directly transfer funds to her bank account given below....

Background Information....
The lump was large in size and the biopsy report says that it is 3rd grade cancer. She has now been advised 6 cycles of chemotherapy which will cost approximately Rs. 1,50,000/ and she would require another 50000 for post care and nutrition  amounting to a total of Rs 200000 ( two lakh only)  - She needs to get the first dose this week.

She is a widow as her husband, a truck driver, passed away 8 years ago. Their family hails from Pithorgarh in Uttaranchal and is presently residing in an authorised slum in Ganesh Nagar, in Shivai Nagar, Thane, Maharashtra. After her husband passed away, she started working as a domestic help and was supporting her family of 5 children. She has 3 daughters aged 23, 14 and 13 & 2 sons aged 16 and 9 years. The eldest daughter, Rekha gave up her studies when she didn’t clear her 10th standard exam and joined her mother as a domestic help, to shoulder the responsibility of being the bread earners. They went together and worked in 5 houses earning approximately Rs. 4,000/- per month. All other children are going to school in 3rd, 9th and 11th std.

Two months ago when Padma felt the lump in her breast, she was terrified that it would be cancer and went into denial and didn’t tell anyone but Rekha. She was afraid that she would die and was worried for her children..... who would look after them?  She in fact though of committing suicide She was counselled by 3 breast cancer survivors that she will be able to get back to work, once she was treated.

For over a month, both Padma and Rekha aren’t able to get any income home. Rekha had to run to the doctors and the hospital while accompanying her mother. Besides she also had to run the house and look after her siblings as they do not have any relatives in Mumbai/Thane to help and support them. At present they do not have any source of income as they have lost 2 of their jobs and Rekha is able to continue only one small job which brings in a measly income.

We appeal to you, on behalf of Mrs. Padma Tamta to help financially towards her chemotherapy expenses. She and her family will be eternally grateful to you for that. It is with such generous contributions that she will be going for her first chemotherapy dose this week.

Incase you wish to extend the financial support to her, kindly write the cheque in the name of “Padma Tamta”.

If you wish to contribute by fund transfer bia net banking, please contact us -9930372436

Thanking you.
Yours sincerely,
Aryan Rana
