JAUNSAR XI IS THE NEW CHAMPION OF UTTARAKHAND PREMIER LEAGUE

Defeats two times defending Champion Pithoragarh Panthers by 8 wickets in the UPL Season 6 final 

Navi Mumbai, December 4, 2017: Jaunsar XI which reached in the final of UPL ( Uttarakhand Premier League) for the first time, created history by winning the coveted UPL Season VI trophy by knocking down two times defending champions Pithoragrah Panthers by 8 wickets on December 3, 2017, at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, CBD Belapur.  The new UPL champions comfortably chased 64 runs target in the 8th over. The winning team played total of 6 games in the tournament and lost only once in the league matches. They defeated the previous four season champion teams like Himalayan VI and Pithoragrah Panthers, who had clinched UPL tittle two times each, in the last three crucial matches. 
Jaunsar XI’s disciplined bating, bowling complimented with brilliant work in the field helped them register their first-ever victory in this season of UPL.

Rahul Varma was deservedly named the man- of- the series, as he played a vital role with the bat & ball, scoring over 75 runs in the last three qualifying matches, helping his team win their maiden title. 

UPL Season VI winning team “Jaunsar XI” received a cash prize of Rs 75,000/ sponsored by Mrs Meenakshi M Bhat of Anmol Film Production.  The runner up of the tournament “Pithoragrah Panthers” received a cash prize of Rs 40,000/- sponsored by Mr Hira Singh Bhakuni of BIS (Bhakuni Insurance Services)

Man -of the-Series cash prize of Rs 11,000 was sponsored by Joshi Properties and the Best Bowler, Best Batsmen and best Fielder cash prize was sponsored by Red Group.
The tournament was organised by Kauthik Foundation, presented by Trident Logistics and supported by Anmol Production, BIS Joshi Properties, Protocol, Sanskruti , Athiti Rooms, Red Group ,Dev Chand and Himalaya Parvati Shangh.

Chief Guest Shri Chandrakant Shinde of Mumbai Tennis Cricket Association presented the trophies to the winning team and the best players. The other dignitaries which were present at the momentous occasion included Mr Suresh Rana of Trident Logistic, Mrs Meenaxshi M Bhat - Anmol Film Production, Mr Hira Singh Bhakuni of BIS, Mr Dev C of Protocol, Mr DB Chand, Mrs Sunita Chauhan, Mr Deven Sountri of Himalaya Parvati Sangh, Mr Bahadur Bist, Corporator, Mr Narendra Janpangi, Income Tax - Commissioner, Mr Jagdish Shawant of Lavina Pharma , Mr Ranjeet Bist  of Athiti Rooms, Ms Mamta Bhatt, Author and Mr Gaur.
